Halibut is by far the largest of all flat fish ( it can grow to lengths of four meters or more) and is available mostly in steaks, fillets and cutlets. Its firm,meaty white flesh has a delicious flavour but it can dry out quite easily so needs careful cooking.
We recommend to keep refrigerated between 0°C and 6°C and consume it within two/three days of delivery.
If freezing, do so as soon as possible and consume within two months.
We recommend defrosting over the time in the fridge or a cold space.
